I have a couple of flags that I've textured that are actually two-sided geometry with flipped UVs so that the flag reads correct on both sides. However, these flags have opacity channels used to cut out the main shape. WebYou can visualize the mask itself doing ALT + Left mouse click on its thumbnail. It will switch the viewport to an isolated view of the mask from this layer. This operation is also available via the viewer settings. You can disable temporarily a mask doing SHIFT + Left mouse click on its thumbnail. Redo the same operation to enable it again.

You are correct - back face culling is on by default, and can be useful in showing immediately on import where normals are reversed. You can change the shader to PBR Metal Rough with Alpha Test to show those backfaces. WebTzur_H polycounter lvl 6. Jun 2015. I'd check back in maya if your polys are flipped in those areas. An easy way to check it is to turn off Two Sided Lighting in your perspective viewport > Lighting menu. If you see the polys are black, it means they are facing inside, you can then flip them by going to the Polygons menu > Normals > Reverse.

For example, for doing metal, you won't be allowed to import the specular or shinyness maps from substance. One way to work around this is to bake the maps into a single image and use it as a diffuse. The only tutorial that i've found regarding this is the following:
