WebAug 23, 2016 · When I first started growing chaeto, I was using an LED from ebay, and all was going well. A few months after using the chaeto started turning white. So I decided to swap out the led buld with a twisty cfl bulb from hd which had a higher kelvin in hopes that it would help. Which it did. The chaeto stopped turning green and is doing well. By adding iron, mcro growth is increased thereby obsorbing more nitrate and phosphate from aquarium water. Patrick.
